ABP South Wales prepars for busy 2018 cruise season
ABP South Wales is preparing for a busy cruise season following a popular programme of passenger vessel calls in 2017.
ABP says five cruise calls and 3500 passengers will be utilising the port facilities and services provided by ABP South Wales at the port of Cardiff between May and September 2018.
Richard Butler, Commercial Manager, ABP South Wales said: “We are looking forward to welcoming thousands of local and international cruise guests to the port of Cardiff over the next couple of months.”
“We are delighted that the increase of cruise calls to Cardiff in recent years has been met with such a positive response. Passengers can expect a warm welcome at our before heading off on their travels.”
Two of the vessels will be visiting the port for day calls where passengers will disembark for the day to explore key cultural attractions across South Wales.
In 2018, Cruise and Maritime Voyages (CMV) will again give passengers the opportunity to embark on cruising holidays from Cardiff .Following the success of 2017, the CMV operated Marco Polo will make three calls at Cardiff over the summer for cruises to destinations that include Iceland, France, Ireland and the Isles of Scilly
