HHLA confirms voluntary refusal to handle atomic transports
In February of this year, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) willingly declared to the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg that it would refrain from handling nuclear fuel within the meaning of paragraph 2 (1) of the Atomic Energy Act (AtG) with future effect, the company said in its press release.
HHLA is fully committed to this voluntarily undertaken obligation. At present, only existing agreements are being carried out. HHLA will speak to its customers to ensure that transports still pending are carried out soon.
