Container throughput of port Hong Kong (China) down 3.6% to 9.88 million TEUs in Jan-June’18

In January-June 2018, port Hong Kong (China) handled 9.88 million TEUs (-3.6%, year-on-year).

According to the port authority, the port’s largest terminal Kwai Tsing handled to 7.76 million TEUs (-3.5%), other terminals handled 2.13 million TEUs (+3.7%).

Port Hong Kong is one of the world’s largest ports. It is capable of handling 456,000 vessels per year. In 2017, the port’s container throughput hit 20.75 million TEUs.
