Throughput of Russian seaports in 10M’18 grew by 4% to 675.3 million tonnes

In January-October 2018, Russian seaports handled 675.30 million tonnes of cargo (+4%, year-on-year) including 325.16 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+6.0%) and 350.14 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+2.1%), says press center of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot).

Seaports of the Arctic basin handled 71.20 million tonnes (+ 17.2%) including 25.30 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+4.2%) and 45.90 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+ 25.9%).

In term of growth rates, Caspian Basin is the leader in Russia with its ports showing an increase of 26.6% to 3.95 million tonnes including 2.17 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (-0.8%) and 1.79 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (up 1.9 times, year-on-year).

Seaports of the Baltic Basin handled 203.79 million tonnes (-0.8%) including 90.48 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+5.3%) and 113.32 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (-5.2%).

Seaports of the Azov-Black Sea Basin handled 229.21 million tonnes (+4.4%) including 101.83 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+6.7%) and 127.38 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+2.7%).

Seaports of the Far East Basin handled 167.14 million tonnes (+3.9%) including 105.39 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+ 6.6%) and 61.76 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (-0.2%).
