In 2018, the Port of St. Petersburg handled 59.32 million tonnes of cargo (+11%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 23% to 9.12 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – declined by 4% to 8.44 million tonnes, general cargo – up 9% to 13.72 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 13% to 1.41 million tonnes.
The port’s container throughput increased by 10.9% to 2.70 million TEUs.
In 2017, the port handled 53.64 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.92 mln TEUs.
