In January-October 2018, the port of Vyborg handled 1,931,200 tonnes of cargo (+25%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 29% to 1,824,400 tonnes including 1,255,100 tonnes of coal and coke (+75%) and 532,700 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (+13%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo including chemicals fell by 14% to 14,700 tonnes.
Transshipment of general cargo declined by 6% to 78,600 tonnes including 12,200 tonnes of metal scrap (-22%).
In 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 1.54 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year).
