On 8 October 2019, the National Centre for State Defence Control in Moscow hosted a teleconference of Defence Ministry chaired by the General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The Minister of Defence raised the topic of the development of the auxiliary fleet, which remains relevant in connection with the intensive updating of the naval personnel.
In this direction, said Sergei Shoigu, active work is ongoing.
In October, the Navy will receive four vessels of the auxiliary fleet (floating crane SPK-54150, raid tugboat RB-283 and two target ships).
The state defence order for the next year and the planning period until 2022 additionally includes the construction of three dredging vessels and five medium tankers.
In total, under the state armament program until 2027, the fleet will receive 176 naval and raid vessels of the auxiliary fleet.
