In January-November 2019, port Kavkaz handled 33.95 million tonnes of cargo (-26%, year-on-year). According to statistics obtained by IAA PortNews regional correspondent from the port Authority, exports via the port’s offshore transshipment facility decreased by 16% to 14.98 million tonnes.
Exports from port Kavkaz surged 2.1 times to 1.486 million tonnes while imports plunged by 55% to 63,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 34% to 18.54 million tonnes.
Transshipment of coal grew 2.6 times to 3.803million tonnes, sulfur – 2.8 times to 3.983 million tonnes. Meanwhile, transshipment of oil products fell by 10% to 10.344 million tonnes, grain transshipment dropped by 36% to 14.240 million tonnes.
Bunker sales at port Kavkaz fell by 37% to 257,700 tonnes.
The number of calls to port Kavkaz fell by 2% to 6,457 calls.
