Throughput of Murmansk Commercial Seaport down 6% in March 07, y-o-y

In January-March, 2007 Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC handled 3,063.832 thou tons of different cargo, 46,040 wagons and 123 vessels. In March 2007, the port handled 1,239.602 thou tons of different cargo (-6%, year-on-year). It handled 17,686 wagons including 13,680 wagons with coal and 47 vessels. Export decreased by 6.7%, year-on-year, to 1,176.295 thou tons including 968.1 thou tons of coal, 167.4 thou tons of apatite, non-ferrous metal – 26.3 thou tons. Transshipment of general cargo amounted to 93.7 thou tons (102.1% against year-on-year result, bulk cargo – 1,145.9 thou tons (-6.6%, year-on-year).
