Gas production in Kazakhstan totaled 7.25 billion cubic meters (bcm) in January-March 2007, up 17.8% from the same period of 2006, including 4.257 bcm of natural gas, up 27.7% year- on-year, a government source told Interfax.
KazMunaiGaz produced 338.985 million cubic meters of gas in the period, down 5.9%.
Companies with KazMunaiGaz investment produced 1.98 million cubic meters of gas in the period, up 7.8%, including 1.634 million cubic meters by TengizChevroil, up 12.5%.
