Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction Co., South Korea's seventh-largest shipyard, said Friday it received a 261.2-billion-won (US$281 million) order to build five container ships for a European company.
The vessels will be delivered to Danaos Shipping Co. of Greece by 2010, the shipbuilder said.
Hanjin expects this year's shipbuilding and construction orders to reach 4 trillion won, compared with last year's 3.5 trillion won.
Shipbuilding orders account for about 30 percent of the company's total orders.
