Throughput of Kaliningrad Sea Fishing Port up 12.5% in Q1 07, y-o-y

In January-March 2007 Kaliningrad Sea Fishing Port FSUE handled 880 thou tons of cargo (+12.5%, year-on-year), RZD-Partner reports. Over the reported period transshipment of bulk mineral fertilizers slipped from 60.5 to 18.5 thou tons. Throughput of the port’s fuel complex grew by 10%, year-on-year. Oil was almost completely excluded from transshipment volumes (from 300 thou tons in Q1 06 to less than 20 thou tons in 2007), while transshipment of petrol grew almost 2.5-fold to 440.6 thou tons. Transshipment of incoming refrigerated cargo totaled 50-51 thou tons, similar to the year-on-year results.
