OAO RZD (Russian Railways) increased loading by 6.5% in Q1 2007. 24.3% of full year planned volume is already loaded, Vladimir Yakunin, president of OAO RZD, said today according to RZD-Partner.
Loading of the following freights increased: coke (+13.6%); ferrous metals (+12.2%); cement (+39.3%) grain (+12.1%). OAO RZD got profit from freight transportation as well as passenger transportation in 2007. Average monthly salary of workers of OAO RZD, which operate at the freight sphere, increased by 12% year-on-year. Vladimir Yakunin ordered to increase freight throughput by 4.6% and passenger throughput by 1.1%, productivity of labour by 5.7%.
