In January-March 2007 the port of Arkhangelsk handled 1723.3 thou tons of cargo, PortNews IAA learnt from Administration of Arkhangelsk Seaport. Over the reported period export amounted to 937.6 thou tons including 186.2 thou tons of dry cargo, 47.6 thou tons of general cargo (including 123.9 thou tons of timber). In the three-month period, transshipment of ferrous metal amounted to 0.2 thou tons, metal scrap – 25.4 thou tons, packaged goods – 21.9 thou tons. Transshipment of export oil products totaled 751.4 thou tons. Container turnover amounted to 14.7 thou tons.
As for import, the port handled 57.8 thou tons of dry cargo including 46.2 thou tons of ferrous metal. Container turnover amounted to 11.7 thou tons.
Transshipment of coastal trade cargo totaled 727.9 thou tons including 107.9 thou tons of dry cargo, 44.0 thou tons of general cargo. Transshipment of ferrous metal amounted to 18.8 thou tons, packaged goods – 7.1 thou tons and refrigerated goods – 2.1 thou tons. Transshipment of coastal trade liquid bulk cargo amounted to 620.0 thou tons including 604.7 thou tons of oil and 15.3 thou tons of oil products.
