Throughput of the Sea Port of St. Petersburg up 21% in Q1 07, y-o-y

In January-March 2007, Seaport of St. Petersburg handled 2747 thou tons (+21%), the port’s Direction on Internal and External Communications reports. First Stevedoring Company handled 1128 thou tons, Second Stevedoring Company - 496 thou tons, Stevedoring Timber Company - 135 thou tons, Forth Stevedoring Company - 987 thou tons. The highest volumes fall on transshipment of bulk cargo (1054 thou tons) and packaged goods (1254 thou tons).
