Head vessel for Dutch DАМЕN laid down at Zaliv shipyard (Kerch, Ukraine)
Zaliv shipyard (Kerch, Ukraine) has laid down a head vessel of a series of four container carriers with cargo capacity of 7.2 thou tons for DАМЕN (Netherlands), the yard’s press center reports according to RBC-Ukraine. At the same time Zaliv is working over the second and the third hulls for DAMEN. The series is to be completed by fall 2008.
According to the yard’s press center, the series of 15,000-dwt chemical tankers is under construction for Norwegian-based AKER. Besides, a container carrier with a cargo capacity of 7.750 thou tons for a Holland-based IHDA is being prepared for launching.
