Such blackbox will fix the factors, which forced collision (speed, speed –up; power of a blow etc). It will also allow to set a placement of the vehicle before the collision. “It is possible that blackbox will reduce cost of insurance”, Jury Uraloch added. Disadvantages of GPS are the following: assurance the system depends on placement of satellite. Human factor was discussed as well. It is known that drivers, which do not want to be indicated, block the signal by wrapping the aerial by foil. Simle devices for block of the signal may be bought for $ 200. Alexey Makarov, representative of Geosystem Navigation company, said that there are two ways out: to use a hidden indicators or to develop a signal, which can not be blocked. Placement of satellite system at the railway transport causes more problems. The reasons are the following: cars and containers do not have source of energy supply, thus each transmission unit will need its autonomous source of energy supply or to reduce frequency of transmission. The other problem is safety from stealing, The third problem is safety of the system while servicing the wagons. There are three types of the transmission units being developed at the Geosystem Navigation company: the one with capacious battery; the one with solar battery and the one with seldom renovation of data. All in all the system is being implemented step-by-step: probation of those variants have taken place in Saint-Petersburg.
