Maersk Line will include Antwerp in the port rotation of the so-called L-Class Service. This is the shipper's main service between Europe and the South American east coast. Companies shipping from Antwerp can benefit from this second weekly service to South America. The affiliate shipping company Safmarine also uses this service. The first ship to call the Antwerp harbour will be the Leda Maersk on May 19. This ship has a capacity of 4500 20-feet containers.
