Russia’s domestic water routes will open for foreign carriers
A special holding will be established in Russia, Domestic Water Routes Department, Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin announced at a congress of Transport Workers Union Wednesday, a REGNUM correspondent reports.
“We are on the threshold of opening domestic water routes for foreign carriers,” the minister noted.
According to Igor Levitin, domestic water routes need more attention than other infrastructure projects that need more money, but are inferior to water transport in terms of efficiency and environmental safety.
