The frigate “Nadezhda” of the Maritime State University will represent Russia in the festival of sailing vessels, vladivostoktimes.com reports.
The sailing educational goes on voyage from Vladivostok on April 19.
As the press-service of the Maritime State University reported to RIA PrimaMedia, the purpose of the voyage is participation in the International festival of sailing vessels, which will be held in Japan, and also in South Korea (on May 2-7).
Korean, Japanese and Chinese sailing vessels will become the main competitors of the Russian "Nadezhda" at the colorful ship festival. The program of the festival includes such events as the parade of sailing vessels, rewarding with prizes, concerts, sports competitions, open visits to the vessels.
Together with the crew, cadets-navigators and students of the Institute of Eastern Asia will go on the voyage, total of almost 175 people.
