Cargo turnover of Taganrog Sea Trade Port OJSC fell in January-September 2006 by 13.1% to 1.2 million tons. Transshipment of oil cargo amounted over the reported period to 248.0 thou tons (-22% against year-on-year result). Ore transshipment amounted to 44.1 thou tons (- 44%). Metal transshipment mounted over the reported period to 434.6 thou tons (- 17.8%). Turnover of coal and coke increased by a factor of 13.8 to 154.4 thou tons. Container turnover decreased by a factor of almost 1.6 to 49.7 thou tons. Transshipment of 40-feet loaded container decreased by 60.7% to 1.1 thou tons.
TSTP OJSC specializes on transshipment of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ore, coal, alumina, containers and equipment. The Company comprises five cargo berths with total length of 849 meters and depth from 4.5 to 5.0 meters. Design capacity of the transshipment complex is 1.5 – 2.0 million tons per year.
