Shipping companies of Odessa region up cargo delivery by 9% in Q1 07, y-o-y

In January-March 2007, shipping companies of Odessa region upped cargo delivery by 9% to 1.5 million tons, Odessa regional administration reports according to RBC-Ukraine. Overseas transportation decreased by 2.6%. The ports accepted and handled 4,000 vessels including 2,700 vessels owned or chartered by foreign companies. In 2006, ship owners of Odessa region decreased cargo transportation by 9.6% - to 6.6 million tons.
