The cellular fleet passes the 10 M teu mark

The cellular ship fleet has reached the 10 million teu mark last week, on 4,063 ships, according AXS-Alphaliner records. The cellular fleet has thus doubled in just over six years. The 5 Mteu mark was passed in March 2001. The overall fleet deployed on liner trades now reaches 10.9 Mteu (including non-celled tonnage effectively deployed on liner trades).
