OOCL has launched in agreement with Sea Consortium (X-Press Container Lines) a feeder service connecting OOCL's Southampton hub with Dublin, Belfast and Greenock (SIX - 90339). The service is operated with the Sea Consortium's chartered EUPHORIA (868 teu).The SIX was launched on 16 April after a successful two month trial period and will ensure cargoes in and out of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Western Scotland are connected in a timely and orderly manner to OOCL's deep-sea network in Southampton, says OOCL. Cargo to/from Cork will continue to be fed to hub ports in Continental Europe.The launch of the SIX follows a capacity increase of the OOCL's 'UK Express' feeder service (UKX - 90294), which links Grangemouth and Hull with the port of Southampton, with the replacement of a 448 teu ship by a 698 teu one
