Putin considers it necessary to support civil shipbuilding in Russia

Russian civil shipbuilding should be supported at governmental level, President Vladimir Putin stated during an annual 'state-of-the-nation' address to the Russian Federal Assembly today, RIA Novosti reports. "I think we should determine state support of Russian shipbuilding industry in the nearest future", Putin said.  In recent 10 years, 90% of Russian vessels were ordered abroad.  Putin also reminded that United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) is to be set up to reinforce Russia’s position at the global shipbuilding market. "We have the possibility," Putin said.
