In January-May, 2007, the terminals of National Container Company (NCC) handled 601,810 TEU (+24%, year-on-year), NCC’s press release states. In the reported period, container turnover of the First Container Terminal (St. Petersburg) totaled 384,618 TEU (+17%, year-on-year). In May the terminal handled 81,621 TEU, or 48,112 units (+15%, year-on-year). Turnover of refrigerated containers totaled 9,364 TEU (+8%, year-on-year). Export amounted to 43,909 TEU, import – 37,712 TEU. In May the terminal handled 56 vessels with average turnover of 1,458 TEU per vessel.In January-May 2007, container turnover of Novorossiysk Central Forwarding Company (NUTEP, port of Novorossijsk) totaled 54,065 TEU (+58.1%, year-on-year). In May the terminal handled 11,973 TEU, or 8,229 units (+62%, year-on-year). Export amounted to 6,184 TEU, import – 5,789 TEU. Loaded/empty containers ratio made 68.3% against 31.7% respectively. In May the terminal handled 8 vessels with average turnover of 1,497 TEU per vessel.In January-May 2007, container turnover of the terminal in the port of Iljichevsk (Ukrtranskontainer, Iljichevsk) totaled 163,127 TEU (+32.8%, year-on-year). In May the terminal handled 33,141 TEU, or 19,550 units, (+35.9%, year-on-year). Export amounted to 16,118 TEU, import – 17,023 TEU. Loaded/empty containers ratio made 60% against 40% respectively.
