The MECL2 rotation is Chennai (Madras), Colombo, Salalah, Jeddah, Algeciras, Savannah, Norfolk, Newark, and back to two Mediterranean ports, Algeciras and Gioia Tauro. Eight ships of capacities ranging from 4,000 to 5,000 TEUs operate in the service.
Including the MECL2 service, Maersk Line now has five services calling on the Port of Savannah. In 2006, Maersk Line and the Georgia Ports Authority signed a 20-year agreement making the Port of Savannah one of Maersk's primary ports of call in the South Atlantic.
