RZHD loading up 2.1% in Jan-May, 07, y-o-y

Russian Railways (RZHD) shipped 114.7mln ton of cargo over the 5-year period which is 2.1% higher prior year patterns, the company reports according to AK&M.

Thus, the growth reached 4.6%. The positive dynamics of the loading was based upon the shipment of ferrous metals (+4.5%), food stuffs (+21%), chemicals (+6.9%); cars (+39.9%).

The cargo turnover is assumed to be raised by 7.1%.
RZHD was set up on the basis of the communications ministry as a wholly owned government company. The 2006-net profit increased to 26.3bn rub. or 2.7 fold against prior year figures (9.7bn rub).
