China-to-NZ cargo faces US$200/FEU Nanzda hike mid-July

NANZDA (North Asia New Zealand Discussion Agreement) will impose a US$100/TEU and US$200/FEU rate increase from July 15 for New Zealand-bound cargo from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The new levy will involve an increase for dry and refrigerated cargo on the base rate. This will apply in full on top of existing ongoing market rates and will be subject to accessorial surcharges applicable at the time of shipment.
Nanzda is a voluntary discussion forum of five ocean carriers serving the trade from North Asia to New Zealand. Members include Cosco, Hamburg Sud, MOL, NYK, and Tasman Orient Line.
