Montagu acquires Unifeeder

European private equity investor, Montagu, is to acquire independent Aarhus, Denmark-based feeder operator, Unifeeder.
Established in 1977, Unifeeder has subsidiaries in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany and the Netherlands, as well as agents in Belgium, England, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Russia. The company’s fleet of 42 vessels transports more than 1.5 million TEU a year from the large container hubs at Hamburg, Bremerhaven and Rotterdam to more than twenty ports across the Nordic Region, the Baltic States and Russia. Unifeeder’s feeder operations are complemented by its door-to-door container transport and freight forwarding businesses.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals.
