Vladmortorgport OJSC plans to open a container complex with 100 thd TEU capacity in the middle of 2008. The complex will be situated on the territory of the 15th mooring, said in the announcement.
The company plans 917.9 mil rub investment in the terminal development, 577.4 mil rub will go to equipment.
The new terminal will let the company increase the capacity of the Port's container complexes to 260 thd TEU a year.
The plan has it that the complex's operator will be Vladivostok Container Service LLC., a subsidiary enterprise of Vladivostok container terminal LLC.
The Vladivostok Container Terminal LLC (VCT) operates in the territory of the port of Vladivostok. The terminal is jointly controlled by the Vladivostok Sea Trading Port Administration and the Severstaltrans Group of Companies.
In 2006 the company increased transshipment by 17% to 146.837 thd TEU.
Vladmortorgport specializes in the handling of bulked, liquid, timber cargoes and general cargoes, including containers. The port has 16 berths.
Vladmortorgport's authorized capital totals RUB 176.73 mln. The company has placed 1767313113 ordinary shares of RUB 0.1 par.
In 2006, VMTP handled 4037.3 th tons of cargoes, which is 37.9% lower y-o-y.
Vladmortorgport's net profit under RAS rose to 25.3 mil rub in IQ 2007, in relation to the loss in the amount of 12.7 mil rub in IQ 2006.
VMTP decreased revenues by 5.6% to 255.7 mil rub. Gross profit rose by 26% to 91.9 mil rub. Products prime cost decreased by 17.3% to 163.7 mil rub
