The company attributed the increase to start of diesel fuel delivery by pipeline early in 2007 and to cooperation with Euromin Holdings (Cyprus) Limited, the company of international oil trade consortium Vitol Group, which is VN shareholder and co-owner of VNT.
Transshipment of Ventspils nafta terminals made 5.5 mln tonnes in Jan-May 07
In January-May 2007, Ventspils nafta terminals (VNT), subsidiary of Ventspils nafta (VN), increased transshipment by 2.9 million tonnes, year-on-year, the company reports according to RZD-Partner. Total transshipment amounted to 5.5 million tonnes of crude, oil products and diesel fuel delivered by railway, pipeline and by sea. Transportation of diesel fuel delivered by sea totaled 4 million tonnes, petrol – over 0.9 million tonnes, oil – 0.5 million tonnes. In May 2007, VNT transshipped 1.05 million tonnes of oil and oil products including over 0.7 million tonnes of diesel fuel, 0.2 million tonnes of petrol and 0.1 million tonnes of oil.
