RZHD/Rosmorport sign an agreement

RZHD and Rosmorport (Kaliningrad reg.) signed an agreement on the joint usage of the train-ferry line Baltiysk-Ust-Luga, the company informed.
The parties underlined the readiness of the line for the cargo transportation. It is assumed to be luanched in operation in July 2007.
RZHD was set up on the basis of the communications ministry as a wholly owned government company. The 2006-net profit increased to 26.3bn rub. or 2.7 fold against prior year figures (9.7bn rub).
Rosmorport was set up in 2003 to provide the management of the federal owned property in Russian ports. The net profit gained 383.1mln rub. over the 9-month period last year which is 61.3% below prior year.
