Production output of Admiralty Shipyards to grow 2.5 times by 2009

Production output of Admiralty Shipyards FSUE will grow to RUR 22 billion by 2009, which is 2.5 times as much as that of 2007, Vladimir Aleksandrov, the company’s Director General told journalists according to RIA Novosti.  Aleksandrov also says Admiralty Shipyardsplans to participate in a number of tenders for construction of vessels.  First of all it is the tenter to be soon announced for construction of the vessel for the Scientific Research Institute of Arctic and Antarctic (St. Petersburg). Besides, the company is to participate in tenders for construction of gas carriers and industry ships.

Admiralty Shipyards FSUE is the oldest Russia’s shipyard founded by Peter I in 1704. Modern shipyards specialize in design, production and modernization of civil and naval vessels of various types.
