Samsung Heavy Industries wins 603-bln-won drill ship order
Samsung Heavy Industries Co., the world's second-largest shipbuilder, said Thursday it has clinched an order to build a drill ship for 603.50 billion won (US$633.06 million) for a Europe-based company.
The order calls for Samsung Heavy Industries to deliver the drill ship by June 2009. The amount of the order accounts for 10.9 percent of the Korean company's annual sales of some 5.5 trillion won last year, it said.
