Transneft suspends oil export by Caspian Pipeline Consortium due to railway repairs
Russian pipeline monopoly Transneft has suspended shipment of Russian oil for export by Caspian Pipeline Consortium running from Kazakhstan due to repair works at Tikhoretsk railway terminal, Vzglyad newspaper reads according to Yuga.Ru. Tikhoretsk railway terminal (Krasnodar region) is the place where tank wagons are filled with oil coming by Transneft system to be transported by railway to a nearby receiving terminal of CPC. This railway section is out from operation since the beginning of January when Transneft started repairs of the loading rack. One of CPC active users said it had been warned in advance. CPC is ready to substitute Russian oil with that of Kazakhstan so that the situation did not influence the market.
