According to Ukrmorrechflot (State Department of Marine and River Transport), Cargo turnover of Ukrainian commercial seaports amounted through nine months to 83.924 million tons (+4.2% or +3351.4 thou tons against year-on-year result), RZD-Partner reports. A year before the same period resulted in transshipment decrease by -2.2% (-1.812.5 thou tons). The growth is attributed to increased transshipment in all sectors of foreign trade cargo: export - +0.8% (to 42.893 million tons); import – +5% (to 6.518 million); transit - +9.8% (to 31.923 million). The dynamics of the previous year was the following: +2.8%, +21.1% and -12.2%. In the reported year, the dynamics of coastal trade cargo decrease has intensified: -16.9% against year-on-year result (to 2.191 million tons). Year-on-year result was the following: -2.7%. Growth of transshipment was demonstrated by all commercial seaports excluding the port of Reni (-14.5%, to 1.861 million tons), Ust-Danube (-54%, to 235 thou tons), Kherson (-2.5%, to 1.884 million tons), Yalta (-34%, to 146.1 thou tons). In 2005 transshipment decrease over the same period was demonstrated by five ports: Odessa, Feodosia, Berdyansk, Sevastopol, Ust-Danube.
