Ukraine confirms information about oil spot at Bulgaria part of Danube

Experts of Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry confirm information about oil spot at Bulgaria part of Danube, representative of the Ministry’s Odessa region information center reports according to Reporter agency. The report has been confirmed by the Ukrainian embassy in Bulgaria and by the administration of Bulgarian port of Lom, where a low concentration spot was first seen. It is supposed that the spot could result of the discharge of waste liquid into the Danube by some unidentified boat near the city of Vidin, Bulgaria. Currently the oil spot is being split up into two parts. Bulgarian officials believe the oil spot “does not create a threat for the water and the banks of the Danube.” According to them the spot is to disappear after moving 100-150 kilometers downstream.
