Emirates Shipping joins Asia-US Express service

Effective November 21st, Emirates Shipping Line has acquired space on the AUX service (operated by Zim and Italia Marittima SpA).“The AUX service will provide our customers with the fastest direct links between two of the world’s most dynamic regions: Eastern China and the US East Coast,” said Emirates Shipping chairman & CEO Vikas Khan. “Through the intermodal gateways at Wilmington and Savannah, we can provide a seamless connection to the US East Coast and beyond.”This service provides one the few direct calls linking Qingdao and Shanghai with Florida, and the fastest direct link between Qingdao and Savannah (Georgia) – a primary rail freight gateway to the eastern US seaboard and inland.The port rotation of the AUX service is: Shanghai - Ningbo - Qingdao - Colon - Kingston - Port Everglades - Savannah - Wilmington - Kingston - Colon - Shanghai.The calls at Kingston and Colon provide for transhipment to Central America and Caribbean ports.
