Combined orders clinched by South Korean shipbuilders are likely to top 20 million compensated gross tons (CGTs) this year on the back of increased high-value-added ship orders, an industry association said Thursday.
The local shipyards received orders for 380 vessels amounting to 15.58 million CGTs in the January-September period, up 61.2 percent from the previous year, the Korea Shipbuilders' Association said.
