Sea Port of Saint Petersburg reports net loss of RUR 3.3 million in 9M06

Net loss of Sea Port of Saint Petersburg amounted in the third quarter 2006 to RUR 969 thou, the company reports, according to Interfax. The company’s net loss in the first half-year totaled RUR 2.374 million. In January-September, net loss of the company was RUR 3.343 million. In January-September 2005 the company’s net profit totaled RUR 7.471 million.

Sea Port of Saint Petersburg OJSC (Morport SPb) is the largest stevedoring company of the port of Saint Petersburg. The shareholders of the company are structures representing Novolipetsk Integrated Iron and Steel Works OJSC (NLMK). Morport SPb is the company managing a group of stevedoring companies: First Stevedoring Company CJSC, Second Stevedoring Company CJSC, Forth Stevedoring Company CJSC and a number of service companies. The Group’s share in cargo turnover of the Big Port was 22% over the first 6 months of 2006.
