STX Pan Ocean to start Gulf Asia service

South Korea's STX Pan Ocean is to launch a new weekly container service known as the Gulf Asia Express (GAX) later this month, linking the Middle East, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.A company statement said the new service will be offered through slot chartering from Hanjin Shipping and will begin on November 13. The GAX port rotation is: Singapore (Mon/Tue), Colombo (Fri/Sat), Nhava Sheva (Mon/Tue), Jebel Ali (Fri/Fri), Karachi (Sun/Mon), Mundra (Mon/Tue), Singapore (Mon/Tue), Hong Kong (Fri/Sat), Shanghai (Mon/Tue), Ningbo (Tue/Wed), Chiwan (Fri/Fri) and back to Singapore on a weekly basis.
