Container turnover of Ukrainian state ports up 25.9% in 9M06

Aggregate container transshipment of Ukrainian state ports amounted through nine months of 2006 to 507.945 thou TEU, RZD-Partner reports. The result grew by 25.9% against similar period of the previous year (or +104.5 thou TEU). In 2005 the dynamics of the same period was the following: +41.8% (+83.8 thou TEU). Share of incoming and outgoing containers is 50.4% and 49.6% correspondingly. In the similar period of 2005 the proportion was less balanced: 53% against 47%. Share of loaded containers is 61.4% of total turnover (312.011 thou TEU). In 2005 it was 64.8% of total turnover.  Transit of container via the ports’ berths totaled 13.4 thou TEU (less than 3% of total transshipment). Share of coastal trade is less then 0.005%.
