Cemex (Mexico) to build $5.2 million terminal in Liepaja (Latvia)

Mexican concern Cemex is going to build a terminal in Latvia. Cemex owns cement plant in Brotseni (Latvia). The construction needs investments to the amount of $5.2 million, Dienas bizness writes according to Rosbalt. According to the newspaper, Cemex has selected Liepaja because its close location to Brotseni and well developed infrastructure. Besides, Cemex has a partner here — Liepajas Metalurgs. The construction is scheduled to be commenced in spring 2007 and to last about 9 months.
