Authorities in the capital city of Lanzhou in the northwest Chinese province of Gansu plan to build nine logistics parks in the city within the next five to 10 years. Xinhua reports the nine logistics parks will be located near the mainland city's railway and container depots, container freight yards, major commodity markets and factories, in order to facilitate the distribution of goods.
These logistics parks will eventually form a comprehensive logistics network, which the builders hope will shave costs and boost the overall development of the logistics industry in the city, the news agency adds.
