Ukrtransnafta to raise oil transportation by 11.8% in 2007

Ukrtransnafta (Ukraine) intends to raise oil transportation in 2007 by 11.8% against 2006 to 50 million tons, Igor Kiryushin, the chairman of the company’s Board told journalists at an Oil and Gas 2006 exhibition, RBC-Ukraine reports. About 5 million tons of oil is planned to be additionally attracted for transportation by Dnepr region pipelines to Yuzhny port. According to estimates, loading of Kremenchug refinery is to increase up to 8 million tons. Kherson refinery will be still under repair in 2007. No large volumes are forecast for Odessa refinery, which is to finalize reconstruction in autumn 2007. Odessa-Brody oil pipeline is said to pump 5 million tons of oil in 2007. This year the company is to transport 44.7 million tons of oil. In 10 months of 2006 it transported 38 million tons including 28 million tons of transit and 10 million tons of oil delivered to Ukrainian refineries.
