Lorry queue at Finnish-Russian border reaches record 50km

The queue of lorries waiting to enter Russia from Finland through the Vaalimaa border crossing was a record 50km long on Tuesday, the Finnish Border Guard said, according to finland.fi, RZD-Partner reports.
The sluggishness of Russian border checks has long been an issue of contention between the two countries.
In September, Matti Vanhanen, the Finnish prime minister, raised the issue in a letter to his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Fradkov.
