ZNT Yard launches ninth dive boat Vodolaz Maleyev
ZNT Yard launched a Diving Support Vessel of A160 Project (No. 808) named Vodoloaz Maleyev (Diver Maleyev). This is the ninth boat of the project funded through the federal target program "Development of Transport System of Russia (2010-2015),” the shipbuilding firm said.
The serial inshore diving boats were ordered by Rosmorechflot (the Federal supervising agency for river and maritime transport) as a public customer and the customer FSI State Contracting Authority for Maritime Transport Development Programs. The boats will be handed over to Gosmorspassluzhba of Russia, the state marine search and rescue service.
The first seven vessels of the project have been delivered to the customer and will be operated in the ports of St. Petersburg, Murmansk, Novorossiysk, Astrakhan, Vladivostok and Korsakov. The Vodolaz Sazonov (No 809) is currently undergoing mooring trials, the tenth boat Vodolaz Gritsai (No 810) is ready for launching. By the end of 2012 all three serial vessels will be delivered to the home ports.
The A160 project was designed in 2008 by the shipyard in conjunction with Agat Design Bureau Ltd. The boats are intended for diving engineering operations at 60-m depths with sea swells up to 4 meters, to participate in rescue and salvage operations, inspection of the harbor seabed, ship wrecks, underwater hulls of vessels and waterworks.
Nizhny Novgorod region-based ZNT Yard (Zavod Nozhegorodsky Teplokhod) specializes primarily in the construction of buoy tenders, dive boats, harbor tugs and other workboats, as well as harbor equipment and marine engineering products.
