G6 Alliance dalays start of Asia - Europe service
The G6 Alliance will not be reinstating a seventh loop between Asia and Europe due to unsuitable market conditions, Seatrade Asia online reports. The planned loop 2 developed as part of a seven loop structure by the six member lines for the Asia – Europe but its planned start-up in March was delayed due to market conditions.
“The G6 Alliance has not seen any improvements in the current market environment to justify the implementation of an additional service in the Asia-Europe trade,” member lines said.
The G6 Alliance members: APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui OSK Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha and Orient Overseas Containe Line.
