In-Transit to deploy Prisco Mizar as FSO at outer harbor of Big Port St. Petersburg
The 166,500DWT oil product carrier PRISCO Mizar (owner Primorsk Shipping Corporation, PRISCO) has approached to the outer anchorage of Big Port St. Petersburg to operate as Floating Storage and Offloading Vessel (FSO), In-Transit told PortNews.
According to In-Transit, a stevedore company providing offshore transshipment of oil products at Big Port St. Petersburg, the tanker might be deployed at the 5A anchorage in Kronstadt on May 6th or 7th, depending on weather conditions.
Overall, In-Transit plans to operate three FSO for transshipment of exprt fuel oil and vacuum gas oil (VGO), transported by 5,000dwt river tankers through the Volga-Balt canal from refineries located along the inland waterways of Russia.
In the 2011 summer navigation season In-Transit has supplied 4,072 tons of Russian export oil products, an 11-percent gain year-over-year. In 2011, the company had deployed at the outer anchorage of the Big Port of St. Petersburg three FSOs.
